This review is from: Scotty Rod Holder Portable Clamp Mount (Sports) Scotty portable clamp mount works great on my fiberglass drift boat. Now I can slide the rod holders up and down the gunnel to find the ideal position, or move them out of the way. I also don't have to drill holes in my precious fiberglass. It barely fits over the lip of my gunnel. I have a RO guide model boat, though I think this will work for most glass boats. The product is built well too. It comes with the mounting screws for the matching rod holders that you'll have to buy separately. This review is from: Scotty Rod Holder Portable Clamp Mount (Sports) Just finished giving two of these a good work-out on a Canadian canoe adventure. They worked great on two different types of canoes(aluminum and fiberglass). No blocks or shims were needed for either set-up. They held up to a week of bangs on portages, and frequent hard jerks from nice Lake Trout. They seem sturdy enought to last a long time. I feel they are a little pricey, but well worth the cost for the trip that I bought them for.
